Alongside their weekly dance classes, we have planned a number of enrichment activities for primarySTEPS students next term.

Junior Associates

Level 1 children and their parents or guardians visited Junior Associate centres in Leeds, Manchester and London to watch and join in with classes. They learnt more about The Royal Ballet School and were inspired by children not much older than themselves.

February half term creative courses

Level 2 & 3 children enjoyed half term creative courses at their venues with guest dance teachers. They worked on a variety of creative tasks before putting together a short dance which was performed to parents and friends on the last day.

Centres for Advanced Training (CAT)

Level 3 all got to visit their nearest Centre for Advanced Training to find out more about these exciting pre-vocational programmes for secondary-age children. They watched and participated in ballet, contemporary and creative dance classes. A number of primarySTEPS graduates are thriving as students on CAT courses around the country and we encourage all our Level 3s to consider auditioning.
