Our 1st Year students took part in an energetic and inspiring rhythm workshop today with renowned Brazilian percussionist Adriano Adewale.

The students were introduced to new beats and were asked to examine three complex rhythms and improvise to them, embodying them in relation to their ballet practice.

The workshop helped them to learn to introduce the feeling of different rhythms into their movement. They worked in groups to create choreography to a range of beats.

At the end of the session the students performed their new compositions to the rest of the class.
