On Saturday 10 January, four lucky pupils from the primarySTEPS programme in Dagenham were invited to The City of London Lord Mayor’s Annual Childrens Christmas Party.

On arrival at Manor House, each of the 300 Children invited to the party, were received by the Lord Mayor and Mayoress before enjoying some entertainment in the Egyptian Hall. The primarySTEPS pupils were invited to join in with different activities and shows throughout the day, including Animal Encounters, Punch and Judy and afternoon tea.

The party culminated in an enormous conga line, led by The Lord Mayor himself, around the building, before hundreds of balloons were released from the ceiling, for the children to take home. Upon departure, each child was handed a silver spoon, engraved with the date of the event; a very special present indeed!
