Fees and financial assistance for Associate courses

No potential student should be deterred from applying to The Royal Ballet School due to lack of financial means. The Associates Programme is generously supported by the Leverhulme Foundation, the J Edward Conway Fund and the Hines Fund to offer means tested financial support for course fees and uniform costs.  Funding of up to 90% of course fees is available. Associate Programme fees

20 sessions per annum £450
24 sessions per annum £540
28 sessions per annum £630
30 sessions per annum £675
32 sessions per annum £720

How much would I pay without financial support?

The School is currently able to offer means tested support to qualifying families. For households with a gross income under £45,000, awards ranging from 15-90% of fees are available.

How and when can I apply for financial support?

Once a student has successfully applied for a course, application forms can be requested from the Finance Department; email finance@royalballetschool.org.uk.  The application form asks for details of the taxable household income backed up by tax returns or payslips and P60s.  It will also ask for details of any tax credits or other government benefits received although the majority of these are not included in the assessment.  An allowance of £1,990 is offered for each additional dependence in the household.

How and when do I pay?

Invoices for Associates classes are issued in August and December with any uniform grants being applied to the first invoice.  Payments can be made via bank transfer, cheque or using a credit or debit card.  Card payments attract an additional handling fee. Please quote the account number or student name on all payments.  We are unable to offer payments by direct debit at this time.

Withdrawal from the Associates Programme

One term’s notice in writing must be given by a parent wishing to withdraw a pupil from the Associates Programme. The fee for the notice period is payable regardless of whether the student is attending the classes.
