b.creative is an innovative teaching resource based on the work of the Dance Partnership & Access Programme. It supports teachers of secondary age pupils who wish to introduce and creatively explore the classical principles of ballet with their students. The resource includes a written pack, accompanying CD and DVD featuring Royal Ballet School and state school students. At the heart of the resource are four lesson plans, with extension activities for GCSE, A-Level and BTEC dance. b.creative is only available to those attending a Teachers’ Event.
This resource is based on the work of primarySTEPS, which is a nationwide programme that introduces ballet to primary age children. This resource provides a creative, cross-curricular introduction to ballet for primary school teachers and pupils, including a 6 week dance scheme of work, suitable for Key Stage Two pupils, cross-curricular suggestions and electronic teaching resources.
