Corporate support

Similar to dancing a pas de deux, we believe our relationship with donors is a partnership, whereby we support one another to meet mutually agreed objectives.

Although these relationships will usually have a fundraising element at their core, additional objectives may be achieved by the corporate partner, related to networking, PR, brand enhancement, staff motivation or corporate entertainment.

There are a number of ways a company can partner The Royal Ballet School by:

Sponsoring a Student

As a company you can sponsor one of our young dancers in need of financial support and enjoy following their progress through the school.

You can bring clients to watch your student in class or dance in performances and competitions and at the end of the year invite them to the Royal Opera House to see your student in our Summer Performances.

Sponsoring the repertoire

Each year a variety of classical and contemporary repertoire is selected to be performed on overseas tours and in our Summer Performances. Your company name could be associated with one of these and you could bring clients to watch the students in rehearsals and to see it performed at the Royal Opera House.

Sponsoring new choreography

We commission new works from established choreographers for the students to perform on tour and at our Summer Performances. These unique pieces of choreography could be credited with your company name and you could entertain your clients at rehearsals and at the opening night.

Sponsoring our Summer performances

This is an opportunity for your company to be the title sponsor of the School’s high profile end-of-year performances held at the Royal Opera House. The Linbury Season comprises five performances in the Linbury Studio Theatre (capacity 400), and the Matinée Performance is on the Royal Opera House main stage (capacity 2,256), accompanied by a full orchestra.

Sponsoring international tours and exchanges

Support from companies is sought to underwrite the cost of taking our graduate year students on overseas tours, exposing them to an international audience and helping them to secure their professional contracts.

Sponsoring our Guest Teacher Programme

Our invaluable Guest Teacher Programme requires sponsorship to cover fees, airfares and accommodation for the teachers. Again your company’s name could be associated with one of these eminent teachers or indeed the annual programme.

Sponsoring events

We hold a number of high profile fundraising events during the year which carry sponsorship opportunities.

Corporate entertainment

Corporate entertaining is all about finding that unique venue where you can create a lasting impression for your guests; a once-in-a-lifetime experience, never to be forgotten.

Our state-of-the-art Covent Garden base on Floral Street, provides the ideal solution.  Located next to the Royal Opera House, it makes a perfect venue for entertaining clients and guests.

Rarely open to the public, our stunning studios are ideal for formal seated dinners for 130 or elegant buffets for up to 180 guests. A pre-dinner performance by The Royal Ballet School students will provide an unforgettable ‘entrée’ to your corporate evening.

A bespoke programme of dance will be created for you, incorporating a range of styles from classical ballet to more contemporary pieces giving your guests a unique glimpse of tomorrow’s stars and a rare insight into the discipline and hard work demanded by this exquisite art form.

The Royal Ballet School only offers two corporate evenings each year.
