New choreography

We aim to commission two or three new choreographic works each year from established and emerging choreographers including one to complement the younger students at White Lodge. These form an exciting feature in the Summer Performances at the Royal Opera House and are often performed on overseas tours. Working collaboratively with the students, choreographers create their work on site in the School’s studios. The cost of their fees, airfares and accommodation all have to be met and the School is constantly seeking support for these unique choreographies.

Choreographic Sponsors receive:

  • The opportunity to watch the choreographer rehearsing the students
  • VIP tickets to the Summer Performances at the Royal Opera House
  • Acknowledgement in the printed programmes
  • Inclusion in any press releases or promotional material relating to the performance
  • Invitations to other Royal Ballet School events throughout the year
  • Grateful acknowledgement in the School’s Annual Report
  • Encore – The Royal Ballet School’s biannual e-newsletter

Sponsorship of a new choreographic work is between £5,000 and £10,000.
