All students are invited to attend two workshops (one in-studio and one online) as part of the programme fees.
Payments
Associate classes are invoiced on one invoice at the beginning of September for the full academic year ahead. The invoice will automatically include the discount as a result of any means tested bursary awarded for fees and uniform.
If an application for financial support has been received but supporting documents are missing then we reserve the right to issue an invoice for full fees in late August.
There are two options on how to pay:
- A monthly payment plan of nine instalments (1 September through to 1 May). Payments are collected by direct debit
- Full payment at the start of the academic year (by 1 September) via bank transfer.
Additional costs for parents
The initial cost for uniform and physio equipment will be between £50 and £100 dependent on Associate level.
How does means-testing bursary work?
The Associate programme is generously supported by donors to offer means tested financial support to qualifying families for; course fees, uniform costs and travel bursaries.
Financial support through means-testing bursary is based on the level of your family’s gross household income each year. Income includes everything included on a March payslip and/or tax return plus any salary sacrifice schemes (in the UK), superannuated pensions and taxable benefits.
Once we have calculated your relevant income, we will apply formula to give the fee amount due.
- Qualifying households will have a gross annual income under £60,000
- Means-tested support for fees and uniform costs ranges from 10% to 90%.
Travel Bursaries
The bursary award will be based on the number of miles to and from the student’s home address and Associate centre. A copy of the AA Route Planner directions to back up your mileage claim is to be submitted as evidence alongside your financial application.
Please note: The maximum individual travel bursary award is capped at £1,000 for the year.
The travel bursary is paid retrospectively in two instalments. The first instalment will be based on how many classes have been attended by the end of the Autumn term and the second instalment will be based on the remaining and attended classes. The payments will be in January and July.
We are unable to contribute to travel costs if a student did not attend class.
How to apply?
More information on the specifics of how to apply for financial assistance/travel bursaries will be available once a student accepts their place on the programme.
