Trusts and Foundations

The Royal Ballet School is a world leader in the training and education of its dancers. As a charity we can only maintain this preeminent position with the generous support of individuals, grant-giving trusts and foundations and companies, which supplement our government funding. In addition to supporting our capital appeals, funds donated by charitable trusts and foundations play a vital role and enable us to:
- Expand our choreographic training programme
- Improve the technical facilities in our dance studios and academic classrooms
- Develop our Healthy Dancer Programme
- Provide bursaries for students who require financial assistance
- Commission new choreography and the staging of ballets for School performances
- Assist students who cannot afford music and singing lessons
- Provide bursaries for young dancers to participate in our Associate Programme and Spring and Summer Intensives
- Enhance our outreach work in primary schools, offering unique opportunities for disadvantaged children across England
We are very grateful to the many trusts, foundations and grant-giving bodies who continue to make this possible, including: Clore Duffield Foundation, The D’Oyly Carte Charitable Trust, The Frederick Ashton Foundation, The Headley Trust, The Leverhulme Trust, The Rothschild Foundation, The Royal Opera House Covent Garden Foundation and The Swire Charitable Trust, to name but a few.
