Course summary
The Royal Ballet School returns to Hong Kong for a non-residential Spring Intensive Course for dancers aged 8 to 19.
The course features a non-selective programme across three half-days for dancers aged 8-9 to develop their skills and explore their love for dance in a supportive and inspiring environment, and a selective programme across four full-days for dancers aged 10-19 designed to be immersed in the School’s world-class System of Training.
Under the guidance of the School’s expert Artistic faculty, aspiring dancers will participate in a comprehensive programme that includes classical ballet technique, repertoire, character, body conditioning, stagecraft and creative classes. We will also be offering non-selective additional coaching sessions which participants can sign up according to their needs on a first come, first served basis.

Selection method:
- Non-selective course (8-9 years): first come, first served; no audition required
- Selective course (10-19 years): applicants will need to submit photographs as part of their application.
Course fees:
- Non-selective course (8-9 years): £395
- Selective course (10-19 years): £1,100
- Application fee: £50 (only required for selective course, 10-19 years)
- Additional coaching sessions: £130 per session (1 hour).

What will dancers learn?

We will also be offering non-selective additional coaching sessions which participants can sign up according to their needs on a first come, first served basis.

These intensives will be taught by:

- Rachael Hunt, Artistic Manager International Intensive Courses
- Royal Ballet School artistic staff
- Guest teachers with professional ballet experience.
Outcomes and progression
Dancers complete a four full-day or three half-day course and finish with a cool down, reflection and certificate presentation. This course does not function as an audition for other programmes.
