Course summary
Our Livorno masterclasses provide opportunities for students aged 11+ in Italy to experience The Royal Ballet School’s training closer to home.
Over two days, students will refine and develop their technique and artistry in a supportive and inspiring environment. With personalised guidance from The Royal Ballet School’s Artistic staff, aspiring young dancers will have the invaluable opportunity to immerse themselves in the School’s renowned System of Training.
The masterclasses are designed to allow students to grow, challenge themselves and connect with like-minded dancers.

This course is for dancers who:
- Are aged 11-19 and regularly study ballet
- Want a supportive two-day experience of classical ballet training
- Are looking for a non-selective workshop (no audition required).
What will dancers learn?
Over two days, students will refine and develop their technique and artistry in a supportive and inspiring environment. With personalised guidance from The Royal Ballet School’s Artistic staff, aspiring young dancers will have the invaluable opportunity to immerse themselves in the School’s renowned System of Training. Each masterclass will be led by a member of The Royal Ballet School’s Artistic staff and last one and a half hours.

Saturday 21 November
11-12 years: 15.00-16.30
13-14 years: 16.30-18.00
15+ years: 18.15-19.45
Sunday 22 November
11-12 years: 10.00-11.30
15+ years: 11.45-13.15
13-14 years: 13.30-15.00
Outcomes and progression
Dancers complete a two-day masterclass experience and finish with a cool down, reflection and certificate presentation. This course is non-selective and does not function as an audition for other programmes.
