Join us for our London Spring Intensive at White Lodge and Upper School, where young dancers aged 8-18 can elevate their skills through a week of inspiring classes. Learn from our esteemed Artistic Team and special guest teachers while making lasting friendships with fellow dance enthusiasts.
Alongside classical ballet technique, you’ll explore character, contemporary, Pilates, stagecraft, and repertoire – an enriching experience that nurtures both talent and passion.

Full board at White Lodge is offered with healthy hot and cold meals with vegetarian and special dietary requirements catered for on request.
Selection method:
- Non-selective course (8-9 years): first come, first served; no audition required
- Selective course (10-18 years): applicants will need to submit photographs as part of their application.

What will dancers learn?
Under the guidance of the School’s expert Artistic faculty, aspiring dancers will participate in various classes including:
- Classical ballet technique
- Repertoire
- Character
- Body conditioning
- Stagecraft
- Creative.
Course structure
White Lodge
Non-selective, non-residential course for dancers aged 8-9 years: three half-days from 13.00-16.00
Selective, residential course across five days, split into the following age groups:
- 10-12 years (mixed gender class)
- 12-13 years (mixed gender class)
- 13-14 years (mixed gender class)
- 14-15 years (mixed gender class).
Upper School
This is a three-day, non-residential course split into the following age groups:
- 8-9 years (non-selective, mixed gender class)
- 10-12 years (selective, mixed gender class)
- 13-14 years (selective, mixed gender class)
- 15-18 years (selective, mixed gender class)
Teaching and faculty
These intensives will be taught by:
- Paul Kay, Head of Intensive Courses and Talent Identification
- Rachael Hunt, Artistic Manager International Intensive Courses
- Royal Ballet School artistic staff
- Guest teachers with professional ballet experience.
Outcomes and progression
Dancers complete a five day or three half-day course and finish with a cool down, reflection and certificate presentation. This course does not function as an audition for other programmes.
