Felix steegmaier

Felix started dancing at the age of seven with Flora Neves de Almeida at the Tanzstudio Tutzing, Germany.

He gained multiple awards both at the national and international level. In 2019, he won 1st place in the competition Deutscher Jugend Tanzpreis – Dance Art Classic. In 2021, he was awarded the 1st and 3rd place in pre-competitive, classical, and contemporary category at the Youth Grand Prix Berlin. In 2022, he was delighted to score 2nd place of the Junior classical category and to be among the top 6 of the contemporary category at the Youth America Grand Prix, semi-finals in Paris.

Christopher Powney first saw Felix dance at the Youth America Grand Prix Finals in Tampa, in 2022, and invited him to participate in the Royal Ballet School International Scholars Programme.

On being named a Royal Ballet School International Scholar, Felix said:
‘It is a great honour to have been elected as an International Scholar at The Royal Ballet School. I am extremely excited and I am very much looking forward to meeting the teachers and students at White Lodge. Special thanks goes to Flora Neves de Almeida, my teacher, for her continuous support and the Royal Ballet School for giving me this wonderful opportunity.
Felix was offered a place to train full-time at The Royal Ballet School, commencing September 2024.
