Year 11 Celebration Day 2018
On Friday 22 June, we held a celebration for our Year 11 students to mark their achievements during their time at White Lodge.
The day started with the students performing for their parents, family, friends and teachers including; a demonstration ballet class arranged by Belinda Hatley and Zhan Atymtayev, excerpts from their upcoming performances at Opera Holland Park and Flotsam and Jetsam, Year 11 student Hamish Longley’s winning piece from the Kenneth MacMillan Choreographic Award 2018.
The students also showcased their talents outside of the ballet studio, with art work on display by Mirabelle Pierre White, music from Anton Clarke and a monologue performed by Molly Macdonald.
Head Girl and Boy, Ava May Llewellyn and Elijah Trevitt took a moment to thank everyone who had supported them during their time at White Lodge before Christopher Powney imparted some words of wisdom for the students’ future endeavours.
The students then received their certificates, enjoyed drinks and canapés in the Stock Bussell Studio and took plenty of photographs in the glorious weather.
Thank you to all of the staff and students involved in the day and congratulations once again to the Year 11 students for both their academic and artistic accomplishments. We wish them every success in the future.
