Diploma of Dance Teaching Graduation 2018

We are thrilled to announce that 14 teacher training students have graduated from our two-year Diploma of Dance Teaching today.

The Diploma is a two-year, part-time course which provides a sound foundation in both technical and creative approaches to teaching ballet. Find out more about the course.

The students gathered in the Linden Theatre to receive their certificates after speeches from Mark Annear, Head of Training & Access, Karen Berry, Teacher Training Manager, our Chairman The Duchess of Wellington, Christopher Powney, Artistic Director, and guest speaker Lynn Wallis OBE. Diploma student Leana Almström also spoke at the event about her experiences of the course.

Our previous cohort of students included Valeri Hristov and Viviana Durante. Valeri is now a full-time ballet teacher at The Royal Ballet School and Viviana has gone on to coach The Royal Ballet as well as launching Viviana Durante Company.

We will be welcoming our third cohort of students to the School to begin the Diploma programme this September 2018.
