Teaching in progress at an online intensive

Online Intensive courses announced for spring and summer 2021

The Royal Ballet School is excited to announce two brand new programmes of online classes for 2021, running 7-10 April 2021 and 13-17 July 2021.

The virtual programmes will be delivered live from our beautiful White Lodge studios, and will include classes in classical technique, focus, contemporary, Pilates and more, plus interviews and healthcare talks.

Available to students aged 10 and upwards, the classes will offer an opportunity for dance students to experience working with Royal Ballet School artistic teachers and guest teachers from wherever they are in the world.

Further details of the Spring programme and how to book your classes will be announced in the New Year, and details of the Summer programme will be announced in Spring 2021.

There is no selection process for these classes, but prospective attendees should read the guidelines carefully when they are released next year.

Samira Saidi, Head of Intensive Courses & International Relations, said:

‘Following on from the huge success of our Online Summer Intensive 2020, and after receiving so many requests for us to repeat it, I am delighted that we are able to incorporate virtual programmes into both our Spring and Summer Intensives 2021. We look forward to welcoming you to our beautiful studios at White Lodge for a mix of dance classes, interviews and healthcare talks’.

Christopher Powney, Artistic Director, said:

‘In a year that has presented so many challenges, it was hugely exciting this summer to be able to offer our first ever Royal Ballet School Online Intensive course to dance students around the world. This proved to be the most incredible experience and we are very happy to be able to build on and expand this virtual programme in 2021, offering both Spring and Summer Online Intensives live from our home at White Lodge.’
