Music and Dance Scheme
The Royal Ballet School is one of eight specialist Music and Dance Schools.
These schools are funded by the UK government’s Music and Dance Scheme (MDS) and offers the finest training in the UK.
The eight schools are:

- Chetham’s School of Music
- The Purcell School for Young Musicians
- Wells Cathedral School
- Yehudi Menuhin School
Dance
- Elmhurst School for Dance
- The Hammond School
- The Royal Ballet School
- Tring Park School for the Performing Arts
MDS Schools offer
- Means-tested bursaries up to 100%
- Full time specialist training
- Academic education to A Level/Higher Grade/Degree
- Boarding and day places
- Places for boys and girls ranging from 8-19
