Hana Terada

Hana terada

I began ballet at the age of five and have been training at Yarita Yu Ballet Studio in Japan ever since. Through annual studio performances, I have gained valuable stage experience and developed my passion for dance. I have also competed in both national and international competitions. At YAGP 2024 New York Final, I placed in the Top 12 in both Classical and Contemporary, and at YAGP 2025 Tampa Final, I was awarded 1st place in Classical and selected as a Top 12 finalist in Contemporary. These opportunities have taught me the importance of discipline, artistry, and resilience. Being selected for this scholarship at The Royal Ballet School is a great honour, and I am eager to learn from its distinguished teachers and environment. I aspire to grow as both an artist and person, and to one day share my dancing with audiences around the world.

On being named a Royal Ballet School International Scholar:

I am so happy and excited to be chosen for the International Scholars Programme. I will do my best and learn as much as I can!
