Royal ballet school students in mother nature: summer film.

Students shine in the Princess of Wales’ Mother Nature: Summer film

In early July, four of our Year 7 students were invited to feature in the Princess of Wales’ recently released Mother Nature: Summer film, the second instalment in Her Royal Highness’s seasonal film series.

Celebrating the beauty of the natural world and the importance of human connection, the film features people from across the UK engaging with the outdoors through art, movement, and storytelling.

Among them, our students were honoured to capture the spirit of summer through movement as they danced beyond the gates of our White Lodge home in Richmond Park.

The Princess of Wales narrates the film, sharing the below message:

‘Summer is a season for abundance. Just as the flowers bloom and the fruits ripen, we too are reminded of our own potential for growth. It is the time to ignite our inner fire and explore our own creativity, passions, and dreams. As we bask in the sunlit hours, friends and families come together, playing, connecting, being present. Embracing the joy to be found in even the most fleeting of moments and shared experiences. Our lives flourish when we cherish the bonds of love and friendship. So open your hearts, sing, dance, play. The days are still long. So simply love and be loved.’

This is the second initiative of the Princess of Wales that our students have had the opportunity to be a part of, having performed in her Together at Christmas service at Westminster Abbey at the end of last year.

We are proud to support the Princess of Wales’ vision and grateful for another opportunity for our students to participate in a project that highlights the role of young people in shaping a more mindful and compassionate future.
