Impact and
recognition
The Royal Ballet School only exists with the generous support of donors, who are integral to securing the future of classical ballet for generations to come.
To honour this, we strive to acknowledge the invaluable support of our community through recognition and engagement opportunities at every level.

‘The Royal Ballet School not only enhanced my training but my all-round education and development as a human being.’
Gareth Haw, 2015 graduate now Principal Dancer of English National Ballet
All supporters receive our donor newsletter, Inside the School, which we circulate twice a term. Donors of £250 or more receive complimentary invitations to our annual calendar of exclusive, in-house events.
Beyond this, we share tailored impact reports, our Annual Review, and every donor has a dedicated contact within our Development Team.
Unless a supporter would prefer to be anonymous – we acknowledge all our donors giving £1,000 or above per annum within the Annual Review, on our website, and within our event programmes.

Around 90% of our current full-time students rely on some form of financial support to attend the School. One in six comes from families with a household income of less than £15,000 per annum, and over a third from families with an income of under £40,000.
‘Growing up in a single parent household, without support I would never have been able to afford the training which has given me a better life.’
Blake Smith, 2023 graduate now Artist of The Royal Ballet
‘We as parents are incredibly grateful to The Royal Ballet School for the support and help in making our daughter blossom as a person and as a dancer. Feeling so blessed that Marta is working as a professional dancer at Czech National Ballet and excited to see what the future holds for her.’
