Financial assistance 2021/22

No potential student should be deterred from applying to The Royal Ballet School due to lack of financial means. The Associate programme is generously supported by donors to offer means tested financial support to qualifying families for; course fees, uniform costs and travel bursaries.

Qualifying households have a gross income under £50,000, and means tested support for fees and uniform ranges from 10% to 90%.

Evidence you need to complete a financial assistance application form

If employed:

  • P60
  • March 2021 payslip
  • P11D (if applicable)

If self-employed:

  • Self-assessment tax return 2020-21 or a copy of your business accounts.

If divorced or legally separated:

  • Statuary child maintenance

Other income:

  • Benefits correspondence
  • Any other evidence of income as required

Apply Today

Parents or guardians must apply for financial assistance each year, and must supply the new supporting documents relevant for that year’s application. Failure to provide the supporting documents precludes us from being able to process your application. Please note that this year we will be unable to process any means testing applications that are received after 31 July 2021.
