Brazil auditions and masterclasses

The Royal Ballet School is visiting Rio de Janeiro this October to deliver two days of masterclasses for students aged 11 to 16, and to audition students aged 14 to 18 for the School’s full-time training programmes. All masterclasses and auditions are delivered free of charge, with thanks to our generous sponsor.

The School is dedicated to widening access to high-quality ballet education and is continually working to extend opportunities for talented young students around the world to experience our world-renowned training close to their homes.

In our masterclasses, students will benefit from the exceptional teaching for which the School is known and be supported in their development as young dancers. Masterclasses will be delivered by Iain Mackay, The Royal Ballet School’s International Artistic Manager and former Principal Dancer with Birmingham Royal Ballet, and Nicola Tranah, Ballet Teacher for The Royal Ballet School’s Vocational and Pre-professional Programmes and former First Soloist of The Royal Ballet.

Masterclasses will be taught by Royal Ballet School Artistic staff.

Requirements

All applicants must submit photos.

Applications to audition in Brazil are now closed as we have reached capacity.

Applications close on 3 October at 11:00 GMT. Please note places are offered on a first-come, first-served basis so book early to avoid disappointment.
