The prizewinners with the judges.Students competed today for the Lynn Seymour Award for Expressive Dance, hosted in the Linden Studio Theatre at our base in Covent Garden.

Named after one of The Royal Ballet's most celebrated dramatic ballerinas, this annual event was judged by Director of The Royal Ballet, Kevin O'Hare, Dame Monica Mason and Nina Finburgh.

The award was won by 2nd Year student Chisato Katsura, who was also the 2013 Young British Dancer of the Year.

In joint second place were Grace Robinson and Lukas Bjorneboe Braendsrod, and joint third place were Maria Huguet Planas and Laurine Muccioli.

Adam Ashcroft, Hannah Bettes, Harry Churches, Leo Dixon, Julia Roscoe and Kilian Smith were all highly commended.

Well done to all involved.
