Foundation and Development Programme ballet teacher
Kenta Kura was born in Hokkaido, Japan and began dancing at the age of eight.
At 16, he joined The Royal Ballet School on a Prix de Lausanne scholarship and graduated to The Royal Ballet in 1997. While a dancer with the Company he participated in projects such as Chance to Dance with the Royal Opera House’s Learning and Participation department.
He was promoted to Soloist in 2007 and after completing The Royal Ballet School Teacher Training Course, retired from the Company in 2014, to take up his current position as Ballet Teacher at White Lodge.
