Prize-giving ceremonies 2017

On Tuesday 4 and Thursday 6 July 2017, students of our Upper School and White Lodge gathered with teachers and staff for our annual prize-giving ceremonies.

At Upper School, students received prizes for academic achievement across the curriculum as well as prizes for demonstrating their community spirit. We were also joined by two very special guests; David Bain and David Norman. David Bain kindly presented Davi Ramos, Victoria Norris and Gearoid Solan with their Ballet Association Awards, which are given in recognition of the contribution to dance of Sylvia Tyler and Joan Seaman through their founding and development of the Association. David Norman presented Yu Hang with the Gailene Stock Award for having demonstrated exceptional promise this year.

At White Lodge, we celebrated the achievements of the students across the board with some special prizes and scholarships. Sebastian Marriott-Smith was presented with the Frank Freeman International Summer School Scholarship, kindly supported and presented by Malcolm Stewart. Manon Forssell Pyk achieved the April Olrich Award, kindly supported and presented by Nigel Pegram. Vlada Kotter was awarded the Audrey Harman Ballet History Prize kindly presented by Anna Meadmore. The ceremony was also an opportunity to say goodbye to Suzanne Gunton, Head of English & PSHE Coordinator, who is leaving us this year after 22 years at the school. We wish her luck and thank her for her many years of service to the school. Our Operations Administration Manager, Celeste Clerkin, baked her a spectacular cake (see below).
